Dr. Claudette Green, DNP-PMHNP-BC
Founder & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr Claudette Green is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of nursing experience and a strong background in leadership, education and trauma informed care. She is passionate about providing compassionate, culturally competent, holistic mental health services to individuals and families. Dr. Green earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Gardner-Webb University, holds a dual Masters degree in Health Care Administration and Business Administration (MHA/MBA) from Pfeiffer University. She is a former High School Teacher, bringing a unique lens of advocacy and education into her clinical work.
She specializes in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Personality disorders and substance abuse disorders using evidence-based medication management and patient-centered care. Dr Green serves adolescents, adults and families through both in-person and telehealth services. Dr Green believes in collaborative healing-where clients feel seen, supported and empowered to move forward. Her leadership and clinical work reflect a deep commitment to quality, equity and care that heals both the individual and the community.
Dr. Andre Dyer, MD Collaborating Physician
Dr. Andre Dyer is a board-certified family medicine physician with over seven years of experience providing high-quality care across hospital medicine, emergency and critical care, urgent care, and ambulatory settings. At Ascentia Mind and Body Wellness Center, Dr Dyer serves exclusively as our collaborating physician-providing clinical consultation and oversight to support safe, effective and evidence based psychiatric care. While Dr. Dyer does not see clients at our practice, his consultative role ensures that our treatment plans align with best practices and that complex psychiatric or medication related questions are addressed with the highest level of clinical integrity.
Dr Dyer earned his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residency at McLeod Family Medicine. He is currently a hospitalist with Advocate Health and has previously served as an Associate Director of Palliative Medicine, and Hospice Care at McLeod Hospice and as a Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program at McLeod Health Cheraw. He is also a proud graduate of Benedict College in Columbia South Carolina and an active member of the South Carolina Medical Association.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Dyer has contributed to scholarly research, coauthoring publications such as “Trauma-Related Emotions and Radical Acceptance in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder After Childhood Sexual Abuse,” “Non suicidal Self injury during an exposure-based treatment in patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Borderline features,” “Psychological Treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after Sexual Abuse: An Overview” among many others. His deep understanding of trauma-informed care makes him an invaluable resource in our mission to provide compassionate, culturally competent mental health services to individuals and families across North Carolina.
Morris Green
Practice Manager
Mr. Green brings over 30 years of experience in a supervisory role. His expertise in Information Technology and people skills makes him a great asset to the company.
Getting to Know Our Operations Manager: Morris Green
Meet Morris Green, our dedicated Operations Manager and Co-Owner at Ascentia Mind and Body Wellness, PLLC. Originally from the vibrant island of Jamaica in the West Indies, Morris brings a wealth of knowledge, discipline, and international experience to our practice.
Before moving to the United States, he served for over 20 years as a Supervisor at Alcoa Aluminum Company in Jamaica, where he honed his leadership, technical operations, and teamwork skills. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), combining technical expertise with a strong analytical mindset.
After immigrating to the U.S., Morris lived in Queens, New York, for over a decade. During that time, he worked as an Analyst at Reuters and also shared his knowledge as a tutor at the Technical Career Institute, helping others launch careers in technology.
Eventually relocating to North Carolina, Morris continued his career in technology, spending over 10 years as a PC LAN Analyst at Wells Fargo. His background in systems management, problem-solving, and customer service ensures the operational side of our mental health practice runs smoothly and securely.
